When will the winners be notified that they're going to the conference?
David Premo Manager • about 14 years ago
We hope to determina that pretty close following the end of the judging period, May 15th. I would hope with a day or two, if not sooner.

Can you nominate yourself/the program that you are currently serving in?

Can I submit a nomination if my nonprofit organization is NOT funded through grants (or sub-grants) from the Corporation for National and Community Service?
David Premo Manager • about 14 years ago
It is open as well to Alumni and participants in our programs in addition to the grantees and sub-grantees.

How do I delete a duplicate submission?
David Premo Manager • about 14 years ago
Let me know which one and I can reject it.
Maryann McLendon • about 14 years ago
@David, the duplicate is AmeriCorps VISTA partnering with Human Services to expand SNAP participation!
The one that has Economic Opportunities in the title should remain. Thanks!

David,
Our organizatio has an initiative under "Non-profit Capacity Building Fund" however the project covers all the "Issue Areas" listed: i.e. disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures and veterans. How do we handle this situation - there is not a "primary" focus and impact in a single issue area.

David,
Can an organization with more than one initiative: i.e. AmeriCorps (VISTA) and Non-profit Capacity Building Fund submit more than one nomination (project) for the impact award.
David Premo Manager • about 14 years ago
If it addresses all of the focus areas with an equal emphasis then just make note of that along with the identifying it as part of the Non-profit Capacity Building Fund.

David,
Did not receive response to second question - can you have more than one project submitted for consideration: i.e. second project with issue area = Veterans; third project with issue area = Education.
David Premo Manager • about 14 years ago
Sorry I missed that - you can nominate multiple projects as long as each is part of a Corporation for National and Community Service program and meets the rules of the competition.

David,
How would you suggest we "name" our project when it includes all "issue areas" i.e. "Nonprofit Capacity Building Fund"; (?) "Issue Area"(?) -
Would we simply list the "Name" of the project in place of the "issue area" and provide the information in the narritive.

As long as all the required information is in the submission somewhere and is easily identifiable you should be fine.

Hi there,
I added a few photos to my submission (Medical Education Resources Initiative for Teens), and it's no longer listed? Is it going through the approval process again?
Thanks for your help!

David,
I see there is a question regarding Medical Education Resources submission of photos. Is there something special we need to know about submitting photos -
David Premo Manager • about 14 years ago
Anytime a submission is edited, including adding pictures, it goes into a pending approval status, which should take less than a day for me to review and approve.

Thanks for the clarification!
