The VISTA volunteers in Tooele, Utah have achieved knocking down barriers that have separated the small business owner and those seeking work. Esther Torres has used her skill in working with people to do what has not been done in years. With the holiday season bringing the highest demand at the food bank, she rallied her team of small businesses to donate turkeys and other food stuffs. The response was overwhelming and no family or individual went hungry. Her networking efforts have resulted in jobs being created, federal and state programs that assist in getting people work and training for the labor market. Her work is highly appreciated and the numbers of people who have benefited to better their lives and businesses.
