2nd-Year AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer (2012: currently serving with Miami-Dade County AVID Student Program in Homestead, FL; 2011: served with the Yakima County Veterans Program, Yakima, WA). Adminstrative volunteer work that has spanned homeless shelters, veterans programs, and student education/college preparation. Extracurricular volunteering includes work with Habitat for Humanity (see picture), Homestead Mennonites (Royal Ambassadors), and other AVID-affiliated programs in the Miami-Dade Coun ty School District; when not volunteering, Chuck plays music for several bands and competes in marathon events (see photo).
