Computer Learn & Earn: families of middle and high school children in Waukegan, Illinois earn a refurbished computer by attending specially arranged classes on computer literacy and school requirements for the purpose of accessing Infinite Campus, an on-line grade and attendance tracking system. This program, offered by United Way of Lake County and aided by AmeriCorps members, targets the underlying causes of school failure with a unique approach that identifies students in need and educates and motivates parents to get involved in their children’s education.
