Jose Anibal Ortiz Lozada is an exceptional individual who truly gives 200% for the community. I have personally seen reaching out for the needy, the indigent, the homeless, and for those who are less fortunate. I wish we had abut a dozen more Jose Anibals around for a better community. He is our heroe !!!

....and what makes Jose Anibal truly exceptional is how he has been able to overcome his own personal situations to care more for the problems and situations of others. He is a true "brother keeper", and I know in my heart that he is one in a million.

and last, as my mentor in self-sustentability, he is coaching me in the generation of proposals geared towards empowering the community to STOP depending on government funding and to develop the mechanisms, entrepreneurships, and business initiatives that yields productive, independent, law-abiding citizens for our communities without having to depend on government funding. And that is what we need more of.

This is a wonderful program not only because offer shelter for chronic homeless but also give a real opportunity for them to be valuable assets for the communities as specialized farmers. I love the farmers market especially when the partipants are educating the visitors in proper food nutrition

My english is not so good.

What i like of this program is that the AmeriCorps Vista members work considering the community needs as the one of those who participated in the housing program.
