On January 16, 2012, NYCCAH’s New York City AmeriCorps*VISTA team used the Coalition’s 9th annual MLK Day Serve-a-thon to build on our efforts to engage volunteers in activities that improve food access long-term - including outreach on free and reduced price School Breakfast and other nutrition assistance benefits - to help low-income kids access the nutritious meals they need for a healthy future.
