Mike Quinlan, AmeriCorps site supervisor, bridges the gaps between communities and offenders.

As a supervisor, Mike and his AmeriCorps members provide offenders the opportunity to engage in supervised community service experiences. As a result, offenders gain valuable self awareness skills, increase a sense of conectedness to their community, and restore the harm the have done to their community.

After completing a project, agency directors have oftentimes commented that they feel more connected to the goal of lowering recidivism and have changed their viewpoints on hiring individuals with criminal backgrounds.
